Surgical incisions
Traditionally, an incision is made over the crest of the site where the implant is to be placed. This is referred to as a ‘flap’. Some systems allow for ‘flapless’ surgery where a piece of mucosa is punched-out from over the implant site. Proponents of ‘flapless’ surgery believe that it decreases recovery while its detractors believe it increases complication rates because the edge of bone cannot be visualized. [14], [15]
[edit]Healing time
The amount of time required for an implant to become osseointegrated is a hotly debated topic.[16]. Consequently the amount of time that practitioners allow the implant to heal before placing a restoration on it varies widely. In general, practioners allow 2-6 months for healing but preliminary studies show that early loading of implant may not increase early or long term complications.[17]

From the Apollo Hospital Ahmedabad, India an interview Dr Palak Pandya about Implants, Bridges and Dental Care.
How the costs in India are so much less as to make it more than worthwile to make the flight.
Combining dental work with a trip to India can have many benefits and opportunities such as getting a cosmetic tune-up like a non-surgical face lift or a complete medical check up with the newest non-invasive procedures all at around 25% of what most western medical establishments charge.
I waited two years to make a decision to go to India for treatment of my dental condition and right away upon my arrival I realized I could have gone much sooner. I had only used it as a last resort to correct a dental situation that was so overpriced in the U.S. to the point of feeling like Medical Economic Rape. Instead of a last resort it should have been the first.
For someone who works for himself and earns an uneven amount that is barely more than considered poverty level I needed a way around this EconoMed Rape(as I have come to think of it) and India proved to be a solution for me.
I liked the people at the hospital and feel as though they deserve acknowledgement for the high quality medical and dental work and reasonable pricing (when compared to the EconoMed rape in the U.S.).
This is the closest thing to competition for hospital services that you can find.
Combining medical services with travel is an excellent choice.
Considering the inflated and bloated prices demanded by the U.S.medical establishment for services that are readily available in India at a fraction of the cost, it would make not taking advantage of this a potential misstep when it comes to saving money and saying no to being raped economically.
I felt so strongly about this that I made an agreement with the hospital in India to refer people to them.
Hospitals rely on international referrals and you can benefit from my experience by referring yourself through our web site.
Go to the link below fill out the referral
so I will know who I am referring to the hospital for services. Bill Vestal

TRAVELING TO RECEIVE MORE REASONABLE PRICING :
If you have been quoted prices in excess of
$5,000 US for dental work you could get a trip to India and still save on your dental care, Top Notch Dentistry in India is only 20 or 25% of US pricing. Or you could spend the same and get more or other cosmetic treatments at the same time.
Many others from around the world do this sort of thing all the time, as I found out on my medical tourism travels.
So the Apollo Hospital chain is used to seeing international patients, however the Apollo Hospital in Ahmedabad, India seemed to have the best pricing and a special warmth and friendliness that the region is known for.
Visiting the local Gandhi Museum at the ashram where he started his walk to the sea for salt was an inspiration in how to respond to the medical economic rape taking place in America, and that is to:
State the truth as clearly as possible and don’t play a game that is stacked against you.
