
Fish Cycline (Tetracycline 250mg) is for use in aquariums for the treatment of bacterial activity. Tetracycline is an antibiotic that acts by inhibiting protein synthesis. It is usually bacteriostatic, with broad-spectrum activity, including bacteria, some protozoa, Richettsia and Ehrlichia. Bacterial Action Gram-Positive Gram-Negative For Ornamental Fish For Aquarium Fish Directions: Fish: Add one capsule (250mg) into aquarium for each 10 gallons of water. Repeat in 24 hours. It is suggested that a partial water change be made between treatments. While treatment duration depends on the type and severity of infection, it is recommended that extended baths in the medication continue for a minimum of 5 days and for not more than 10 days. Discontinued treatment if no improvement is noted within 5 days. Dogs and Cats: 15-20 mg/Kg (7-9 mg/lb) every 8 hours orally. Fish Cycline is commonly given in off-label use to small animals. Used to treat a variety of infections, including pneumonia and urinary tract infections. Contraindications: Do not use in young animals; it can affect bone and teeth formation. Drug Interaction: Tetracyclines bind to calcium-containing compounds, which decreases oral absorption. Not for human use.
